Mastering the ‘At Home Blowout’ That’s Worthy of the Salon!

View this post on Instagram

I've broken down the process step by step to achieve smooth and shiny-yet still voluminous hair that lasts for days! In damp hair, apply @evolvh SmartVolume Leave-in and a quarter size amount of TotalControl Styling Cream. Comb through to evenly distribute – I like using a @thewetbrush . This preps the hair with a cocktail of products that add heat protection, volume, and hold without feeling sticky or heavy. Start blowdrying your hair back and forth to create lift and volume at the roots. (I love the @dysonhair dryer). Once the hair is about 85% dry, begin sectioning your hair below the ears and roundbrushing to smooth. *Pro-tip: keep the dryer nozzle pointed down vertically along the side of the brush to prevent frizziness. Also maintain tension by rolling the brush enough to catch the ends of the hair and pulling downward. If you see hairs blowing upwards, adjust the angle of your blow dryer downwards. This will prevent flyaways! Drop another section from the temples down, blow out smooth, and repeat with the remainder of your hair. *3 sections work well with my hair texture/density, but if your hair is finer/thicker, or curly, you may need fewer or more sections to make your hair nice and smooth. Finish blowdrying using the cool shot button for at least a minute to enhance the shine of the hair. I also like using my @masonpearsonbros nylon and boar bristle brush to really seal down the cuticle of the hair. If you like how your hair looks, you can always apply finishing product at this point and call it a day. I like extra volume and bend so I used my jumbo @t3micro hot rollers to set for about 5 minutes before adding @evolvh SuperFinish Polishing Balm. Styling this way gives me a look for AT LEAST 3 days, more if I add dry shampoo. #igtvtutorial #igtvbeautychannel #igtvhair #hairtutorialvideo #hairathome #hairroutine #smoothhair #hairsalon #newhairwhodis #hairgoals #hairdressersofig #longhair #redheads #voluminoushair #blowout #dysonhair #t3micro #evolvh
