Hynt Beauty isn’t new to me; the Suite Tuxedo eye palette was one of my first eyeshadow palettes when switching to clean beauty.

I finally got to try the Sun Prep Broad Spectrum SPF 25, Aria Lipstick, Duet Concealer, and Finale Finishing Powder. Ohhh do I have some thoughts!

I am terrible about using SPF. You would think as a beauty blogger that using sunscreen would be one of my top tips to preserve my skin, but I seriously haven’t used one in…years? Yeah, I know. That’s pretty bad. Between having low vitamin-D and general laziness, I haven’t gone out of my way to make it a step in my routine. That all changes now with the Sun Prep SPF. It smells like ripe berries which is a definite change from most SPFs that I’ve used in the past. It also isn’t overly greasy once rubbed in which is also a perk for wearing underneath makeup. Rather than using oxybenzone as a chemical sun block, Sun Prep utilizes non-nano particle titanium dioxide as a physical barrier instead. This is an easy step to incorporate into my routine. I have zero excuses now. Hold me to it!

I chose the Aria Lipstick in the shade Tierra Blush, a warm peachy rose shade with a hint of glowing shimmer. The case itself is a shiny black with a little cap on the top. When I flip it open, I’m greeted with a little lip balm and tiny mirror. This is genius and why haven’t I ever seen something like this before?? The formula of the lipstick itself is so rich and creamy, I have to wonder why there’s even a balm attached to the cap! The color wears for hours without needing a touch up. It also doesn’t make the ‘wax line’ where the lips touch! I need more of these lipsticks a.s.a.p.

As someone with dark under eye circles, concealer is a must have item for me. The Duet Concealer is as full coverage as they come which is my favorite in terms of concealer. The formula itself is balmy and rich; a small swipe is all you need for maximum pigment payoff. The texture melts into the skin and doesn’t look cakey or heavy, but is easily made matte with some setting powder. This wears all day on me without creasing, fading, or smudging. I dare to say, this is my new holy grail concealer – and I don’t say that lightly.

I often opt for powder foundations to set my liquid foundation, but the translucent Finale Finishing Powder truly wows me. It gives the perfect finish – satin and glowing. After a full day of wear, I only look a little shiny around my nose and forehead. I have combination skin, and this prevents my makeup from sliding around. I actually love using this to ‘bake’ my concealer (essentially loading enough powder onto the area you’re trying to set so that you can visibly see the product, and after 5-10 minutes dusting off the excess with a fluffy brush).

For what it’s worth, the Flawless Blending Sponge is a beautiful alternative to the ever popular Beauty Blender. It works just as well and rings in at less than half the price! I love using it damp to blend out my foundations and concealers, or taking it dry and using it to bake with finishing powder like I mentioned above. It’s great for packing on product!
