Long, fluttery lashes

My eyelashes have never been what I would consider to be ‘long’. I worked tirelessly to find the right combination of mascaras to get the most dramatic lashes I could, but never felt fully satisfied with the results.

I eventually turned to a well-known lash growth serum which I used religiously for about a year. I was constantly asked ‘are those your real lashes?’ and ‘where do you get your lash extensions done?’. This product definitely wasn’t part of my normal ‘green beauty regimen’, but I made the exception because the results were too good. But then I learned more about a specific ingredient: isopropyl cloprostenate.

This particular ingredient can cause changes to your vision, reduction of fat cells around the eyes, drooping, iris darkening, and the list goes on. This newfound information launched me into action and I began seeking alternative lash growth serums to the one I had been using. I couldn’t go back to my previously stumpy little lashes: I had grown so accustomed to their plush new model-worthy state!

Much to my frustration, ALL the lash serums I looked into contained isopropyl cloprostenate. Seriously?

I finally discovered a brand called Plume Lash Science* and saw their natural lash serum (formerly Nuvalash). Curious, I searched reviews and before and after photos and was impressed by the results. No burning sensation. No questionable ingredients, because they were all natural! I had to try it!

And I am so glad that I did. Since switching to Plume, I STILL get asked about my eyelashes regularly. They are long and beautiful (no really, they touch my browbone and I have to find mascaras that don’t smudge!), and I no longer have to worry about sacrificing my vision, among other concerns.

The basic premise behind the serum is to slow your natural lash shedding, allowing your lashes the chance to grow to their full potential. It also hydrates your lashes and contains antioxidants.

I’m a huge fan!
