Bordeaux Lips

I’m a firm believer that lipstick can entirely change your appearance (and mood for that matter!) So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that I love a good, dark, bold, wine-inspired lip color.

So many people are afraid to try a really bold lip color, but my philosophy is that it’s just makeup…if you don’t like it, you can wipe it off!

This shade is Bite Beauty’s Matte Lip Creme Crayon in the shade Licorice (available at Sephora, if you’re nervous trying out a color like this you can go into the store and see if you like it first!) These matte lip colors are surprisingly comfortable, and sooooo pigmented! Bite is great because they believe in using high-quality organic ingredients without compromising on performance. I also really love their Agave Lip Mask and slather that on every night before going to bed.

Personally, I’m really partial to a minimalist look on the eyes when wearing such an intense color on my lips, but for just a little bit of definition I smudged on some Rituel de Fille eye soot* in the shade Serpent de Mer, keeping it close to my lash line and diffusing it the higher up it went. After a quick curl of the lashes and a light coat of mascara, I’m ready for date night!

Other products used:

Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation* in Just sheer

Vapour Beauty Bronzer* in Simmer
