I’ve been a Sephora addict for a long time. Shhh…don’t judge me.
That place is magical.
You can ask my friends and they’ll all tell you: I turn into a giddy, squealing little girl dragging them around that store. It’s TROUBLE. And I love it.
Swatch all the colors! Sample all the skincare! Yes, yes, yes!
But did you know they’ve added a feature to their online website where you can filter for clean beauty products? You read that right! While they often don’t carry many of these lines in stores, you can easily search for them online and have them shipped right to your door in a matter of days (hurrah for flash shipping!). Fortunately, I have started to see a few ‘clean’ beauty brands popping up in stores though, which is encouraging for the ever-changing landscape of what we crave as consumers.
From the Sephora website:
“When you spot our Clean seal, you can be sure we’ve checked that this brand’s product is made without the ingredients you told us you’d most like to avoid. Bonus: Clean at Sephora fragrances are cruelty-free.
Clean at Sephora™ is formulated without:
Sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens , formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan , triclocarban, PTFE/PFOA, styrene, polyacrylamide/acrylamide, acetaldehyde, acetonitrile, methylene chloride, animal fats, oils, and musks, benzalkonium chloride, toluene, resorcinol, acetone, butoxyethanol, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, methyl cellosolve, methylisothiazolinone/ methylchloroisothiazolinone, mercury and mercury compounds (thimerosal), bisphenol A(BPA).”
This could be a game changer. I can shop for clean beauty and still get my insider points?
People are looking for better alternatives to formulas with questionable or harmful ingredients, so Sephora, way to rise up and meet your every growing and changing customer base!
